Me in a paragraph or two:
I’m from East London (that’s in England for anyone from over the pond). But a nice leafy bit. I’m the only child of Ron and Janet, who decided, quite rightly, that one was quite enough thank you. I always wanted to be a journalist or lawyer but got lured into the murky world of advertising by a boyfriend who took me for a drink in the bar at a large and famous ad agency. So a career in advertising was born. And what a time to be working in that industry. It was the 80’s. There were parties. And more parties. And lunches. And producing the odd commercial here and there between parties and lunches.
Fast forward to today. I am married to Mark (he who must be nagged) and mum to Luke (27) and Olivia (21) and Ollie the tabby (who incidentally has more Instagram followers than I do). My age shall remain private. I just can’t bring myself to admit it. Put it this way – when filling in a form, I’m in the 50-55 drop down box. I finally left advertising a couple of years ago – fortunately with my liver intact and now work as a recruitment consultant. It’s fine. I sometimes hate me too!
And because I didn’t make it as a journo, this is my little indulgence. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment or say hello.
